Swings And Bouncers

One of our most popular swings and bouncers is the Nature's Touch Baby Papasun SwingBaby Papasun Swing

Adding a little bit of extra comfort to baby’s world is always a wonderful thing and this big cushy chair from Nature’s Touch provides a lovely place for baby to either hang out and be entertained or take a quick snooze. It’s modeled after the popular Papasan chairs that are so often the purview only of grown-ups. In addition to the well-padded seat, there is a mobile of pleasant toys and a selection of electronic music, which we found to be much more soothing than is often

As soon as your baby can reach and hold objects, you will notice that she will begin to practice play. If you provide her with swings and bouncers and toys that make noise, light up, or make motions, she will repeatedly practice actions that cause these responses. She will also enjoy play with everyday household objects such as egg cartons, measuring cups, and paper towel rolls! You can help your child learn about the objects in her world by providing many safe playthings and by modeling actions she can imitate.

For example, you can roll a ball or stack blocks and watch how quickly he uses those movements in different ways during play. Language play will also be enjoyed by your child; you can play simple games with sounds and labels such as "what's that?" or "so big!". Your baby can learn turn-taking social games very early, beginning when you initiate "peekaboo" or other simple routines, and he will show by his laughter how much he enjoys such play. As your child reaches toddler age, you can help him learn to use pretend motions to act as if he is drinking milk from an empty cup, feeding a stuffed animal, or making a doll walk and talk. This beginning of pretend play is an important developmental step that often accompanies growth in language and thinking. This age is often the beginning of play with crayons and Play-Doh, which foster your child's creativity.

While it is important to have toys and other objects that your child can play with and learn from, your interactions with your child in play are really the most important way that your child learns about her world. You will also strengthen your emotional bond to your child through play and help your child gain social skills. That's why you should be your child's first playmate!
